Pics of the boys

Fingerprints done!

Joshua turned 3 years old.  Here's a picture of him and the cakes we made him.  Not bad for never having done it before, eh?
Gabi and I got fingerprinted at CIS (immigration) yesterday - our last step.  Now we just wait.  Gabi also got his vaccinations yesterday.  I'm scheduled to go next month with the boys.  We feel very relieved to have the Dossier completed.  It's like a load has been lifted.

YES!!!

We just got in the mail our appt. to be fingerprinted for immigration.  It's next week - the 29th!  I can't believe how quick it came!!!  We are so excited now that things are really moving along!

Minor set back

Our case worker called me yesterday to say she needed to add a couple more things into our homestudy - that we completed the hague training requirements, etc...  and sooooooooooo it looks like another week will go by without our homestudy being sent to CIS (immigration).  Gabi thinks we shouldn't expect to make it there before the courts close this summer, but I'm still hopeful.  Grrrrrrrrr.

The song

I like how in the beginning of the song it sounds like he's saying "hey, this one's for Gabi."
Ok, he's probably saying something else completely, but I'm free to interpret it as I want!

Another week goes by

And our homestudy was sent from our case worker to Gladney and now Gladney needs to send it to CIS, which I'm guessing should be done early this week.  I'm going to call them tomorrow.  We've completed almost everything on our end of the Dossier and sent them to Kate.   It was really not a hard process, just time consuming a little.  I can't wait to be officially on the "wait list"!  I hope CIS is quick to schedule our fingerprinting and then get us our 171 form so we can submit our Dossier to Ethiopia and get on that "wait list"!

In other news... Joshua is turning 3 next week and we are making him a Lightening McQueen car with homemade marshmallow fondant.  We did a trial run yesterday and it came out pretty good.  Gabi thinks that because we watch "Ace of Cakes" on TV it automatically makes us capable of producing a car cake.  :)  I'll post pics next week and you can tell us what you think!
